Rotation of Pump All Powerwise Pumps have clockwise rotation when viewed from the motor end Place pump on floor and look down on top of the motor. By switching the motor on and off observe the direction of the fan as it slows down. It should be CLOCKWISE Checking the rotation of an air motor driven pump or an electric motor with no fan If you have an air motor driven pump or a pump driven by an electric motor with no fan you can check the rotation from the pump end. When viewing from this end the impeller should run counter-clockwise Important Note The pump will perform at approximately 25% of it's rated capacity when running in the wrong direction.
